Overview
The Kings Highway Road Rehabilitation Project aimed to improve road safety and longevity by addressing severe pavement issues like rutting, potholes, and cracking. Key works included laying 10,500m2 of Foam Stabilised Bitumen and 5,345 tonnes of durable asphalt, while maintaining traffic flows of around 6,000 vehicles daily. Wodens drafted and utilised over 22 separate stages of Temporary Traffic Management measures in less than two months, demonstrating our ability to manage traffic proactively to maintain project momentum. Woden Contractors managed all subcontractors, secured Temporary Traffic Management approvals, and ensured all works occurred according to legislative requirements. The project also involved coordinating with authorities and stakeholders, ensuring quality assurance, protecting underground services, milling and resheeting, and installing pavement markings and signage. Authority approvals and post-completion defect and landscaping services were delivered, with recycled materials and night works helping to reduce disruption and enhance sustainability.
